Finance & Administration

ClerksThe administrative & finance department of city hall is there to help our citizens.  Our clerks are happy to assist you with the payment of your water bill, purchasing a business license, obtaining a building permit or paying your city taxes.  Check to see if you are elgible for tax relief on property taxes. The window is open from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.  There is an after hours drop box for water bills located outside on the rear of the building.

College Street Sidewalk Project – Bids awarded to Martin Paving – Total: $141,225 + $3500. for imprint at College and Cherry Street intersection = $144,725.00. Sidewalk in progress September 2007. Grant completed April 2008

Transportation Enhancement Grant Webb-Walnut Avenue Connector $275,000. Walnut Street right side – From Depot along Stonewall to Walnut to Park Street down Park Street to ball fields, through ball fields to Mulberry Street and back to Walnut. Awarded 2008. (In progress as of February 2009)

Parks and Recreation Grant $117.000. Lights on Little League and T-Ball fields and two picnic pavilions

RTP Grant. $100,000. Trail from Como Street up Lawrence property to Recreation Barn. Trailhead to be at location where house presently sets.

CBDG Grant for sewer repair. $585,000. Phase two of sewer repair.

STP – J.L. Seets Memorial Pedestrian Pathway) Walnut Street right side from Stonewall Street to Booker, down Booker Street to rear of Housing Authority. Awarded 2008 ($347,000.00) (In progress as of February 2009)

Used Oil Grant - $6,200. Awarded November 2008. Tank, canopy, pump and spill proof pad. Must be completed by December 2009.

Bullet Proof Vest Partnership - $5250. Awarded November 2008. (Police Dept)
